2014 Mystic Velo Criterium

Saturday April 19, 2014 at Ninigret Park, Charlestown, R.I.
Thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday to race or volunteer, or both.  We lucked out with some good weather and had 223 riders, one of our best turnouts ever.  Thanks again, and looking forward to next year already.
Bob Lane places 6th at USA Duathlon nationals, men's 50-55 sprint division, which should mean he will be making his 4th trip to the World Championships next year.  Congratulations, Bob, on a great season!!!
For up-to-the-minute ride information, please check the Mystic Velo Facebook page.  This is now an open group:

Mystic Velo Club 2013 end-of-season ride and picnic was held on Sunday, October 6th at Stonington Vineyards
As in previous years, we had overcast weather, and even a bit of rain, but with a few tents, we ended up have another really fun picnic, and club meeting.  There were many good ideas for future activities for the club, so hoping that 2014 will our best year ever.

Mystic Velo Club (MVC) is a USA Cycling and USA Triathlon registered club. MVC strives to promote amateur and recreational cycling in Southeastern Connecticut. We host the Mystic Velo Criterium at Ninigret Park RI. Our website seeks to provide information useful to members and others that may be interested in cycling.

We welcome new members, whether your goals are to become an elite racer, a regional champion, an aspiring junior, want to give racing a try, or just want to enjoy time on your bike.   We do not require race participation. Members are encouraged to develop cycling skills based on available time, interest, and ability.

Annual dues are used to support club activities. Team uniforms (kits) are available for purchase by members of the club. Our members serve as mentors and information sources for newcomers and experienced riders alike to help those interested in competitive and recreational cycling excel.
